An adventure that elevates photography to a whole new level awaits you! It was my responsibility as the distinguished ms. Oosterdam’s photo and video manager to make sure our visitors had an amazing time. I had the honor of overseeing a group of 10 exceptionally skilled photographers who collaborated to perfectly capture the spirit of our visitors’ travels, from the start of their voyage to the amazing Panama Canal.

I had an amazing time filming the crossing with three GoPro cameras! I made sure to capture every moment and detail that guests would enjoy, from the beautiful Panama gates opening to guests having the time of their lives. With an eye for creativity, I mounted a camera on the bow bar, capturing an unparalleled perspective. The Holland flag at the beginning of the video alludes to the incredible footage that follows. I did this because I know that guests love taking pictures on the bow of the ship, which is why I wanted to make sure they had the best possible experience. It was so much fun, and I’m excited to see the final product!

The reason behind this is simple, yet so important. Our guests will experience the joy of heading out to the bow of the ship, where they can capture countless precious moments with the help of professional DSLR cameras. While the Panama weather may be unpredictable, it only adds to the thrill of the experience.

If you’re a fellow photographer, you know just how important it is to plan ahead for the perfect shot. I’ve found that by taking the time to decide on the best settings and making any necessary adjustments before a shoot, my photography team was aware of the specific camera settings required for humid mornings in Panama, resulting in stunning images with intricate details. And those stunning shots? They’re the ones who bring in guests to our photo gallery, where they can purchase photo packages or even book a professional photo session at Black Lab.

Embarking on an Ambitious Cruise:

Clearly, I wanted to record the important moments. We worked so hard to capture genuine and priceless moments from the break of morning to the end of the day at five o’clock. Our goal was to take multiple quality shots when guests visited the photo gallery couldn’t resist to by just one photo, and they would go easy to sing for one of the packages that we had. Which is where the real magic happened.

Creative Approaches, Outstanding Outcomes:

I had an incredible time recording the visitors on the ship’s bow and documenting their incredible adventures in enticing timelapse previews, even if the weather was erratic. Visitors were enticed to the gallery by these previews, which were broadcast on our ship’s IPTV like bees to honey. The best part of my day was seeing how happy and excited they were, and they couldn’t wait to receive copies of their trips to treasure as mementos. I enjoyed being a part of the positive energy and nostalgia that centered around our exhibit.

Reaching the Unimaginable:

Despite difficulties, our team’s commitment was evident. A few thousand images were taken, which served as the starting point for the sale of many photo packages. We not only reached but beyond our goals with careful preparation and unwavering work, creating new benchmarks for total income, Black Label reservations, and guest pleasure.

Heading toward Achievement:

With outstanding results in GSS objectives, Photo targets, Black Label targets, and Retail targets, our journey came to an end with great success. This triumph not only signaled the conclusion of one expedition but also the start of an amazing Carebian season.

Why Did I Select My Vision?

My goal as a leader is to leave a lasting impression on our visitors, not merely to oversee a group of people. I turned obstacles into opportunities and fleeting moments into memories by using creative thinking, perseverance, and steadfast devotion.
